47 M UNIQUES IN LATIN AMERICA IN NOVEMBER
.FOX (Dot Fox) and its affiliates have reached 47 million unique users in Latin America, representing 83 per cent of the Internet audience in the region.
In Latin America uniques increased 50% since its launch in August.
.FOX served 10 billion impressions, which positions it as a network of significant global scale. (*)
According to comScore's November 2007 figures, .Fox - Media Partners reached 8.8m uniques, or 77.4% of the Internet audience in Mexico, 13.1m or 75.1% in Brazil, 6.1m or 78.3% in Argentina, 4.1m or 76% in Chile and 2.3m or 76.5% in Colombia. The information comprises .Fox's own websites, plus over 400 publishers that have inventory resale agreements with DirectaClick (www.directaclick.com).
“In 2007, FIC’s Internet division reached an attractive position in the Internet market in the Spanish and Portuguese speaking world, and now it’s in the process of expanding into Europe and Asia. Starting from only four .Fox offices in July, we now have 10, including Spain, Italy, and Turkey, and in January, we’ll be opening offices in the UK and France,” said Hernan Lopez, President and COO of Fox International Channels.
Separately, FIC announced that the websites it itself publishes, grouped under “Integra.Fox” and led by mundofox.com, have reached the record-breaking figure of 6.4 million uniques, which represents an increment of 300 per cent compared to what was achieved in January 2007.
Commenting on the increase, Emiliano Saccone, Marketing and Entertainment Senior VP of Fox Latin American Channels, who is in charge of FIC’s own websites in Latin America, stated: “In November, our own websites reached a record-breaking audience led by the 4.4 million unique users achieved by mundofox.com. The very strong microsite for “Tiempo Final”, an FIC original production, was no doubt a contributing factor.”
“In less than six months of operations .FOX has been able to double its revenue. This is due to the incredible reach growth achieved by adding well known and trusted publishers to our network. The reach growth along with the addition of these publishers helped bring on board several recognized advertisers such as Colgate, Nokia, Panasonic, Nissan and Sony Ericcson among others.” Said Hector Costa, Senior VP, Managing Director of .FOX.
